Meet The Team
Sam Graham
Writer / Producer / Performer
Sam is making this up as she goes along, as per usual. She has no experience whatsoever writing plays but she figured it would be a shame not to give it a try, particularly as she is so passionate about communicating the messages that Adaptation wants to convey. She may have worked in the corporate sector and may bear some resemblance to the play's protagonist...
Ella Mehlberg
Lead Musician
Ella M., alias Sabine Mehlberg, is an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist who has traveled throughout Europe for many years performing in all kinds of venues such as big event halls and festival stages, as well as pubs, restaurants, and streets. Originally from Germany, Ella M. now lives in the north of Scotland. Listen out for her beautiful originals in the play .
John McGeoch
Projection Designer
Total legend - no website, hard to get hold of, you just have to track him down and pray he's got time, space and interest in working on your project... I was lucky on all 3 counts. What a fascinating, creative life this man has led. Very grateful to have him as the Projection designer and creator and to be learning so much as I enter the world of theatre for the first time. A privilege indeed.
Tim Flood
Sound & Lighting
Tim has done all sorts. He likes to start at the top and work down. His first job was a trainee sound engineer in a recording studio that worked with Stiff Little Fingers. Then he trained at the BBC as a broadcast TV engineer. He still likes to twiddle knobs and fortunately his fingers remain flexible. That's his horse-like dog Lester you may see in the Behind the Scenes footage - keeping an eye on us at rehearsals.
Hannah Calascione
Director
Hannah is a director and dramaturg from London, making opera, theatre and film. She likes working with music & challenging the way we think about the world. Most recently she created her bed // dream wake piece for Sadler’s Wells / Rough for Opera, and is currently creating Green Satanic Thrills and Next of Kin with UCL and Camden People’s Theatre. She has spent 4 years working at Women’s Aid and Refuge as a support worker in the gendered violence charity sector.
